We would like to draw the attention of Hungarian and New Zealand citizens intending to travel between New Zealand and Hungary to the effect that from 17th November 2021 the European Union recognizes international vaccination certificates issued in New Zealand as equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate (EUDCC). From the same date, New Zealand recognizes the EU digital COVID certificate as equivalent to the New Zealand International Vaccination Certificate.

Due to the restrictions currently in force in New Zealand, Hungarian citizens are not allowed to enter the country. Hungarian and New Zealand citizens residing in New Zealand may enter Hungary without restrictions if they are fully vaccinated and have the required documents proving their vaccination status.
