On June 30 Hungary concluded its Visegrad Four Presidency handing the baton to Slovakia.

Operating under the „Recharging Europe” motto, the Hungarian Presidency was far from business as usual, with COVID, Russia’s war against Ukraine, growing economic disruption and deepening energy security questions. Besides the usual high level meetings with partner countries, including in the Indo-Pacific, the Hungarian Presidency worked on post-pandemic recovery and oversaw 72 projects helping refugees from Ukraine, supported by the Visegrad Fund. The Presidency organized 180+ V4 promotional events worldwide, including two in Wellington, the first ever V4 Diplomatic Tennis Cup, and a photo exhibition on the natural wonders of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
