Amb. Hetesy presents his credentials in Nuku’alofa

Hungarian Flag at the Royal Palace in Tonga!

Amb. Zsolt Hetesy visited Nuku'alofa between 5 and 8 December, to present his letter of credence to His Majesty, Topou VI, King of Tonga.

The Ambassador met the Honourable Hu’akavameiliku, Siaosi Sovaleni, Prime Minister, the Honourable  Fekitamoeloa Katoa ’Utoikamanu, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, as well as fellow Ambassadors residing in Tonga.

It was also great to meet again former fellow Deputy Permanent Representative in New York, Viliami Malolo, now the Lord Privy Seal of Tonga.

British explorer James Cook had a good reason to call Tonga the Friendly Islands!
