Besides exploring economic opportunities the visit showcased the Visegrad Four Countries and kept the spotlight on Ukraine.
Amb. Zsolt Hetesy, as part of a #TeamEurope delegation, visited Palmerston North on 11 November, to learn about economic opportunities as the NZ-EU FTA comes closer. After a Powhiri at Te Hotu Manawa O Rangitāne o Manawatu Marae we visited Moana New Zealand, Massey University, toured a farm and visited the Aviation School. The group also had a great discussion at the Central Economic Development Agency about new opportunities.
On the next day, His Worship Grant Smith, Mayor of Palmerston North, Amb. Zsolt Hetesy, Amb. Grzegorz Kowal of Poland and Honorary Consul Peter Kiely of Slovakia opened a one-week V4 nature photo exhibition in the Caccia Birch House. The 60 nature photos showcase the natural wonders of Hungary, Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia. The event was organized to collecting donations for humanitarian causes of Ukraine.
