2000 Wellingtonians enjoyed Bartók’s Miraculous Mandarin and the Mikrokosmos Exhibition on Bartók’s life and works. A great day for Hungarian culture in New Zealand!

The almost full house audience of the Michael Fowler Centre were up for a real treat on 3 June, listening to Bartók's Miraculous Mandarin. Performed by Orchestra Wellington, BalletCollective Aotearoa and Orpheus Choir Wellington, the piece that was written 100 years ago, is as meaningful as ever, and still packs a powerful punch. The Embassy of Hungary was glad to debut in New Zealand the exhibition Mikrokosmos on the life and work of Béla Bartók.

To Friends, Colleagues, Members of the Hungarian Community and all the supporters of Orchestra Wellington, thank you for coming!
